This Is The Exact Time You Should Always Leave a Dinner Party, According to an Etiquette Expert

But the time differs on a weeknight and the weekend.

When you're enjoying yourself at your friend's dinner party, it can be incredibly easy to lose track of time while partaking another glass of wine or after-dessert coffee.

But according to etiquette expert, Thomas Blaikie, to be polite and please your host, you should always leave the gathering at a particular time.

On a weeknight you should leave by 10:30pm, while on the weekend you should aim to leave by 11:15pm.

Mr. Blaikie revealed these preferred dinner party curfews in his column in The Lady Magazine, as a response to a reader's question.

MOODY DINING ROOM MAKEOVER

Then there is that gold flatware… I’ve wanted gold silverware forever. When I saw their black handled gold set, it was love at first sight. Until  I saw their white handled gold set, and then their blue handled set… haha, I wanted them all, but I finally decided to mix and match the black with the white and keep it simple. Now I wish I had mixed in some of the blues anyway (it is a beautiful bold hue).
